Need advice...about to purchase
I've been following some threads on vinyl wrapping (interior and exterior) lately. I have been wanting the carbon fiber dash pretty bad (the wood sucks). Has anyone used the 3M di-noc and is it easy to use inside on dash trim pieces? Also it says on a website that it "may damage finish and should be considered permanent". Has anyone successfully removed this without damage? Is there a better carbon fiber look vinyl out there for dash? And lastly, who has the cheapest price on the stuff?

I wrapped some interior just to try it since I had extra interior pieces laying around. It is the wood trim and it just peels off with no residue. But I haven't left it in the heat, so I can't comment on that part. It seems as if there is residue, that it will wipe off with alcohol. I read a thread on the DIY section that showed residue and it wiping off with alcohol very easily.

I don't know about the DI-NOC, but fabric with the 3M 77 spray adhesive is definitely reversible. If you are looking for a reversible solution, this would be a better bet.
I am a dumbass and tried loading a mini fridge in the car and f-ed up the CF pretty good so I had no choice but to re-wrap. The fabric came off very easily (trashed in the process of course) and I was able to remove all the adhesive using goo-gone. I tried rubbing alcohol and my finger nails (which worked) for a bit but it would take forever. So I sprayed it down with the goo-gone, let it sit for a while, and then took a dish scrubbie to it and gave it a rub down. About 80% of it came out so I just sprayed it with goo-gone again and repeated and it was back to original condition. I was very surprised at how easy it was and how good it looked after. I messed up a little on my shift knob area trim so I am going to redo that too now. Hope this helps! Good luck.

cool thanks for the inputs...I've used the goo-gone quite a bit before (3 kids). I think I am going to give it a shot. If anyone has more experience or comments with the 3M di-noc, I'd like to hear them.
