I want to tune my 335i

I just got my car. I'm trying to ease into tuning it. I think the Jb+ might be more my speed. However, most people are advising me to go with the Jb4.

If you have a jb+, I'm looking to spend about $125ish. I will go $185ish if you have the tool to detect and delete codes.

If you have a jb4, I'm looking to spend about $350.

Please let me know what you have. Thanks.

I'm sure. I would love one also...but they are above my budget at the moment.

Don't even bother with the jb+. Go for a used jb4 or used cobb.

I disagree. JB+ was my first step into tuning, and for $100 used it's an attractive offer. It increases boost considerably without interfering with other systems and at 50-60% causes no codes or other issues. It's a nice thing to start moving up from stock.

BUT, once you try JB+, you will most definitely want to go either JB4 or Cobb route (I went with Cobb). So, getting a serious tune straight away will save you some time, whereas if you get JB+ and then move one, you will ask yourself: "why didn't I do this in the first place?"

JB+ is not bad, and you'll like it. But you'll always know there is "more" and "better", and you'll end up going that way anyway.

Does that make sense?

Walmark, that was right in line with my thinking. I figure for $125 I can't go wrong. If and when I want more, I can always sell the jb4 to someone else just looking to dip thier toe in the water. Thanks.
