The video is pretty close to the real thing.. but if you really want to hear it live, sure pop down to Rhodes I guess. LOL :P

Also did you managed to fix the annoying clicking noise on the steering as you reverse? If so, what part did they replace?

hey zen... I'm quite frequent in rhodes. regards to the clicking sounds, apparently BMW says it's to due with the brake pads as it goes back and forth. and apparently it's common too not all will get it but some will. They say just change the as it's wearing thin (3.5mm) and that shoudl fix the problem. I know it's annoying sound but they wanted $500 to replaced 3 pads but it's not hazardous to my safety so i'll bare with the sound and change when it's needed.

Alan I don't think you have downpipes if I remember correctly?

While you are all down get "_ink" to come along so you can hear the DP + PE combo

Stuart, I don't have the DPs. I have been looking to hear the DP + PE combo, as I am very interested in investing into DP.

Also what was the tune that the 335i was running on your fb page?

Mate, I don't even have my car yet as it is in transit from WA (Tomorrow, Monday it will be here), so far I've got AR DP ceramic coated and JB4 put aside for me already.

Stu is organising some VARRSTOEN 20", which will also sit on BC coilovers

Oh you are "The Greatest" on the other forum.
Lucky you that you managed to score yourself a DCT with N54.
What other mods are you planning?

Haha yes sir I am but I changed my name back to ATTN lol keep it simple.

Yeah, pretty happy.

I think I will be content with the mods I have for the moment, really depends on when and what I feel like doing next. I think Cold air intake + FMIC could possibly be next, talking to _ink, I think I will leave the PE + E85 last.

OP sorry for the high jacking in thread lol

I'm not too sure if this answer your question, but here is the stock exhaust image..

The balance pipe #1, for stock seems to be welded to and clamped for the PE. Yes they seem to have a similar setup, but the noise it generate is so much louder.
Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead! Can anyone tell me if the x pipe on this exhaust is some kind of resonator as well? I'm trying to understand my exhaust a little better. I just installed the performance exhaust and I want to be able to hear the pops and burbles a little better without installing a downpipe. So I was thinking if I take off the secondary cats and if that x pipe is a resonator, that would help as well.

It's been a while so you may have already found your answer, but I can try to offer some help...

from what I understand, the x-pipe is a replacement for the resonator, and therefore probably doesn'tt have much of a deadening effect on the sounds from the exhaust. best bet would be to take out the secondary cats if you don't wanna go with kitty-less DP's. but I would say just go for kitty-less DP's anyway...you won't regret it
