You know what I used to really enjoy? Smoking a ***.

And do you know what would happen if I smoked a *** right now? I'd fucking love it.

To my surprise I've found weekends with my family a little more challenging than Monday to Friday at work. Odd that. Sorry, did I say a little more challenging? I meant an absolute fucking nightmare.

I feel I need to stop smoking now. Every year the cough gets worse, and last year I had a bout of pneumonia followed straight after with pleurisy. I put that directly down to smoking. It's not a money issue with me, I just don't want to develop COPD, emphysema or something worse (can't really get much worse apart from the C word).

I'm all geared up for trying Champex. Alot of my friends have stopped on this but there are side effects, but they should be nothing compared to the long term lung problems I'd probably get.

I think I'll book up an appointment with the smoking nurse at my surgery next week.

Well done to those that have stopped. I know I'm gonna find it hard, but I actually want to quit now so I will have some motivation.

Dude. 3 words.
Allen
Carr
Book.

I was the most committed smoker.
And here I am; 1.30 am - a tonne of booze inside me and not even thought of a cigarette. If I can do it, you will rinse it.

You can say that again! It works out as 1 every 10 minutes assuming a 7 hour sleep. That's amazingly high and yep, gives us all hope!

Just reading up on his work and would like to try his audiobook. There are 2 on iTunes, which one would you recommend?

I was momentarily thankful for the auto door locks when out of the corner of my eye I noticed a wild looking guy jumping backwards and forwards and shouting at me.

You'll know you've cracked it when you stop thinking about how long it is since you last had one....

For me that was 9 years, 9 months & 22 days ago

Only joking, this thread got me thinking about it and wow - nearly 10 years since.

Never fixed the bad breath though..

Talking of odour, I have to agree with the others. Smokers really do whiff. At the moment though half of me is repulsed, the other half wants me to lick them.

:edit:

And I should add that next on my list is drinking. I may just have an incy wincy problem with alcohol that I really should do something about.
