MY sister wants the alcatraz flat bottom performance steering wheel for Christmas, I know nothing about this. Can anyone help me out here or have any recommendations?

Yes sorry haha I slaughtered the spelling. I am just not familiar with switching shit out like this but it is what she really wants. Does the cover & air bag just pop out no problem and can be installed in the new steering wheel? Also if any recommendation on where do buy it could be made it would greatly help me out.

Depends if your sister have the sports steering wheel (does it look the same?) If so, then you can swap the airbag and components otherwise, you will need one plus the multi-function buttons (normally comes with the wheel when you get one). The good place to get one is from getbmwparts.com. They are sponsors of this site, you can message them too.

Otherwise you can try cobywheel.com, they have alcantra steering wheels that can be custom ordered in any color/stitching ...although i'm not sure about flat bottom.

As long as your sister has the "sport package" steering wheel, then she can easily swap with most other steering wheels.

This is what the sport steering wheel looks like:

This is what the standard non-sport steering wheel looks like:

As long as you have the sport steering wheel, then you can swap the airbag, center trim, and buttons over no problem from your existing wheel.

I ordered one from eBay. Will be here tomorrow. Flat top and bottom wrapped in alcatra leather and suave. 400shipped
