335i Turbo upgrade done and in testing phases

Hi guys, to a lot of you, we're new around here. I've been on as a personal member for a while, and don't make too many posts or claims, but one of the things we've been working on in silence for some time is our turbo upgrade. The upgrade is completely *stealth*, as once bolted on they become invisible, we do not cut or modify anything external, the only way someone would be able to tell is if they removed the turbos and measured them up.

We've been working on other FI projects, but this is just one of them.

Once we're done with the durability testing, we will be moving to the next step, which is dyno numbers. The one thing however will be the tuning, which we will have a solution for as well, there are a few companies who will support our turbo upgrade with their tuning solutions, but nothing is set in stone yet, it's still preliminary.

Just a little FYI on our company. We have been in business for over 14 years in the Import aftermarket, and also have quite a few Euro and Modern muscle projects under our belt (ie: E90/92, E38, E46, M3, E55 AMG, Ferrari 348/355/360/430, Porsche993TT, 996/997 N/A and TT, Z06 Vette's etc.), so we are FAR from noobs on the scene. The Eurotuner GP is held here on our dyno every year now, and we just love it! Anyhow, this is a brief synopsis on us.

On this project, I will lay no claims, or speculate on how much Max. HP we will be making, all I can say is that we've gone through a lot of trouble to build our own compressor wheels, and study what we can do to get the most out of a stock housing, and still keep compressor efficiency. So far we're seeing some appreciable gains, but we're not done yet.

I will keep you all on the burner.

Yes, I believe that a culmination of GT PRO, ASR and AMS will help to drive innovation. I for one am very happy to see those guys going after it as well. Those two others are doing great things, and I feel that with the three of us pushing it will only be making things better for the community.

Sounds Great! What type of Turbo are you using & is it Dual Ballbearing! It would be nice if it could work with the JB Tuners...

Wow 2 kits within one week? That's crazy, but good for us N54 owners though.

Looks good...

Were any turbos harmed during your testing?
(Overspun?)

Looking forward to an upgrade!

We are using the std journal bearing carts same as OEM, if we were to *copy* ASR (which BTW, we copy NO ONE), the housings would need to be cut and rewelded, which we did not want to do for obvious reasons. So far no turbo we've tested has failed, not saying it won't fail, but so far so good.

And yes, our goal is to get the support of JB, Vishnu, and the others.

Are you going to try to get them to do flashes? Because I wouldn't trust a piggyback system on upgraded turbo's

Looks good! I think there will be a lot of demand for this type of upgrade especially if the price is affordable. I can't wait.

Highly doubtful that its 16G sized. Thats a very large wheel for the likes of the stock turbo "frame". And yes, clipped stock turbine wheel.

Very cool to see! I hope that Forced performance gets involved at some point also. Their HTA series is very impressive.

lol @ bmw making it standard procedure that any N54 model brought into the dealer, even for a simple oil change, must have its turbos removed and analyzed

btw great news guys, its very exciting!
