why the alarm goes off if I press and hold the trunk button on my keyfob? How to use the trunk button to open the trunk? Thanks

I don't think you're supposed to hold and press the trunk button down to open the trunk.
Just press it. Don't hold the button down. |

Yea, mines the same, single press doesn't do anything, it requires about a .5 second hold to get the trunk. But the alarm trigger duration should be a distinctly longer hold. Like 2 seconds or so. Has your car recently been coded at all?

Pretty sure pressing and holding trunk button on the key fob is to activate the panic alarm. Saw that option while coding my car once. Forgot what app i was using. Think protool

Just got the car and don't know what previous owner did to it. It does not seem he took care of the car. It needs TLC.
