Does it not signal anymore? You might have left the wire to loose and the wheel caught it.

I did this mod on two cars no problem. One 328 e92 and a 335 e92 no problems at all, go for it!

Alex, thanks again for posting up this DIY. I just finished this up on my car and i'm very pleased with the results. It took longer then I thought it would since I tried fishing the wire from under the hood to the sidemarker for the longest time with no success. I ended up just jacking up the car so that I had enough room on top of the tire to get my arm in there and take all of the screws out of the fender so I could run the wire to the sidemarker. It was pretty straight forward with your DIY as a guide, definitely worth the time it took. Thanks again.

Yes, you need two resistors so that when you cut the power to the front turn signals (parking lights) it won't trip a light on the dash. The front turn signals will still work though because you are splicing power from the sidemarker to the wire that you cut in the headlight harness this way the front bulb will be powered and blink when the sidemarker bulb does.

Happy to see someone did it. Your welcome.

On money99's car we had to remove the wheels and fender walls too. The 328s engine takes up more room then the 335.was yours a 328?

No, I actually have a 335 also, it ended up just being easier to jack up the car and pull the fender liner out then it was to fish that wire since its so far.

So number 2 powers the headlight LED and the side marker and #7 powers the headlight turn bulb?

in your DIY, did you mean heatSHRINK not heatSINK on the wires? I don't understand how you would put a heatsink on a wire.

everything seems pretty easy except drilling holds into the car feels uneasy for me. and everything seems easy to put back to stock with no way of the dealer finding out you fiddled with anything...
