Bmw E90 Xi Fitment Issue
Hey guys,
So I bought a set of 255/35/19 for the rear PZERO And a set of 225/35/19 for the front Ironman (cheap brand ) Somehow I still experience traction control kicking in whenever I'm driving slow and or making turns ( not all the time but I'd say 40 % of the time ) I am completely clueless now.. No idea what to do. Should I go back to Canadian tire and just cough up another set of 225? Here are the dimensions of the rims RIMS 269 Front: 19X8" offset +37mm Rear: 19X9" offset +39mm Any help would be appreciated! Thank you |

You would want 255/30 for the rear.
Check out this excellent thread on XI staggered tire calculations: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1050762 |

Definitely read up on the thread I linked above (XI Staggered Tire Calculator). It will show you what you need. Effectively, you should just buy the proper rear tire sizes to match the front, which is 255/30 19. |

EDIT: I must be wrong above. I think 225/40 should work. Not sure what I had in the calculator to get the 4.2%. Ah, I had 255/30 it seems. My bad. I'm using this site to compare: https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc...0r19-255-30r19 Look at the Revolutions Per Mile percentage which I'm focusing on. It's not exactly the same as rolling diameter, but I think it can help for specs not listed in the thread I linked before. I also don't know if 225/40 19 will rub. I'm running stock 18" staggered myself. Sorry. Last edited by martinm0; 03-14-2018 at 01:33 PM.. |

Oh, and extra duh. We have fantastic tools right here on the site. Go back to the main page for Wheels and Tires and right at the top you have a more robust tire calculator/comparison tool.

It will be perfectly fine as far as diameter differences are concerned. It will likely rub a bit though.
