Like the title says, Anyone know a trusted mechanic in the tampa area? I usually use BMW for most of my aftermarket warranty work but I figured I'd see if theres anyone who can recommend a good shop from tampa/lakeland area for more out of warranty work.

Been browsing the forum trying to find a place to do walnut blasting as well since my car is nearing the 100k mark and it hasn't been done just yet.

I know a traveling installer, but more specializes in installing aftermarket performance parts.

That would be good as well, I will be adding a few aftermarket parts to my car eventually. I probably should of specified that when I asked the question. Right now I'm just looking for someone to do normal maintenance things and repairs ie Belt tensioner and such.

Join tampabimmer on facebook, there is a list of reputable shops that other members vouch for. I've taken my car to two locations, Tampa Autosports. I'd stay away from there. Forever.

Second place is Midnite Tuning, in largo, was there last week, issue was not resolved properly but I'm going back Friday and was told it'll be taken care of.
I can give you a more accurate experience after friday.

Try contacting Tuning Dynamics in Tampa. Speak with Andrew. They did my 3SIM and tune, and am going back for header install/re-tune. All they do is BMW

Tuning Dynamics and Midnight Tuning been my best experiences in Tampa.

Yeah, I live more towards the plant city area so both those places mentioned are a good hour drive or so for me. I will definitely check them out once I get most of the parts on though and have them tune the car.
