GIAC Comparison #2 (Video Runs)
A couple other members met up with me this morning to see how the GIAC flash performed on the road. IMO, it didn't do that bad for a stage 1 flash. I tried to find members that had just about the same mods, but I couldn't find anyone with a Manual that could go.
Even though the JB3 car pulled ahead, we both agreed that the GIAC stage 1 flash is comparable to the JB3 1.4 Map 5. The Map 7 pulled away from me pretty good. We were both wondering if it would have been closer if we had the same transmission. I guess the real test would be to see the same mods with the same transmissions, but I think this is a great comparison for starters. Even though I say this in the video, here are the following mods: Camera Car: e90 335i Manual Tranmission Giac Stage 1 AE HFC Exhaust UR Catless DPs AA IC Gas Tank Approx 96% full (filled up the night before) (91 Octane) White Car: e92 335i Auto Tranmission Procede Stage 3 DCI HFC Exhaust AR Catless DPs VK Motorwerks IC Gas Tank Approx 80% full (91 Octane) Grey Car: e90 335i Auto Tranmission JB3 1.4 DCI Catless DPs Aftermarket IC (I don't know which one) Gas Tank Approx 98% full (filled up just before the runs) (91 Octane)

Does the proceed flash a light on the dash to alert you when you've been spanked?

Wow. I'm surprised the Procede car didn't hang with you. And you always seemed to get the lead in the beginning.
And I want to clarify something. The JB3 car was running map 7 in the first race and then map 5 when you were racing one on one at the end? Thanks a lot for taking the time to record and perform these tests. =) |

We did some other runs before but it was too dark. He pulled on my pretty hard though. You've hit on another thing we talked about. The throttle response is so good with the GIAC that I jump out in the beginning pretty much every time, but the JB3 reals me in.

Why is the procede stage 3 so slow compared to the GIAC stage 1, doesn't seem normal or is the GIAC THAT good?

I am assuming there was an issue with the PROcede car. Maybe 80% is the wrong setting for his mods (could be too high or too low) or maybe he is having HPFP problems, bad gas, who knows.

Has it been verified that everyone is running on the same fuel/octane? Could the owner of the PROcede car PM me? Something doesn't seem right with how his car is running.

I think the difference might by that the JB3 is running with 1.4 Beta Rev6 which is a beast of a tune (even better than JB3 1.3)...
