Straight Pipes VS Full exhaust system

What are the pros/cons of running full straight pipes (totally catless). If a less restrictive exhaust yields more power then straight pipes by default should give you the most. Is this correct or is exhaust velocity and restriction 2 different things.

Not 100% sure of what you're asking, but, 100% free flowing (meaning catless downpipes and straight pipes out to the back of the car to the tips), you'll have the best free flow while accelerating especially up top from my understanding.
When you do this however, the spooling of the turbo's aren't as fast because of the lack of backpressure (it's minimal, I believe with a few hundred RPMs) so it's never bothered me in the past with my Evo or this car I had for a while) You do need 02 sims to fool it so you don't throw codes and good luck at the dealer when your throw on JB3, cats, etc etc and something goes wrong... (not that it will, but hopefully it wont)

straight pipe system would be great but the drone would be awful.

I currently run catless DPs and I am getting full custom made straight pipes out the back. Drone doesn't bother me since I don't really drive the car daily.
Just wanted to know how does loosing all back pressure affects the cars performance.

Turbo cars need NO BACKPRESSURE past the turbine. The best exhaust system is a turn-down pipe right off of the turbo. The turbo provides plenty of backpressure for the engine to work properly.

Straight pipes will be loud as hell, and will probably perform pretty damn well. Go for it!

turbo + backpressure = leaving some hp on the table!

The wastegate provides backpressure for the turbine and motor, you want as little as physically (aesthetically and audibly) possible beyond that point in the exhaust system! That is, if you want more power

Sh*t will be load as F*ck but the most performance available. When I say loud it could be to the point of unbearable to some. So be ready.

See turbo drag cars, Short and straight through.

Before I got my rennArt exhaust on my stock exhaust I got the 2 cats deleted left the one cat still and took off the resonator and the mufflers! Wow my car was so loud and it kinda sounded a lil raspy when shifting gears but was real loud but the drone is annoying!

Unbearably loud. Done it....twice....decided to keep secondary cats in place. Car sounds much, much better with a deep throaty roar. Also the HP gain when fully catless was marginal...and i cannot see anyone living with that noise.
