Today, vinyl siding is still considered to be a cut-rate material for home exteriors, so why would anyone want to cover the entire exterior of a car in cheap vinyl? Especially a BMW?

Just my opinion though...
I completely agree. Why would you take a classy car and purposely make it look trashy? I've seen a few wrapped and it looks alright, but just not classy. I want my car to look classy and professional...if I pull up to a job interview or to meet with a client, I would be so embarrassed to pull up in a vinyl wrapped car. And I think it especially looks tacky to have 1 panel of the car (roof generally) wrapped in vinyl or fake carbon fiber. Why would anyone want to do this??? I just hope that all of this vinyl wrapping panels situation is a phase that immature teenagers go through.

Ive heard as cheap as $1500... not sure where or the quality.

So $2000 from a legit place seems worth it to me.

Because I didn't buy my car for status. I didn't buy it for class, I sell tacos. I bought it to customize the shit out of it and have it as a show car lol

And I'm totally going to do fire orange once I have a few more mods on it.

Thanks in advance!

I seen an M5 done last weekend and the work was so good it looked like it was painted matte black. I just wonder how it will stand up to small rocks and other road debris hitting it while driving. I love the look of finnish. it would be a nice change and to know you could go back to your factory color with no major issues or cost.

I got quoted from a buddy to do my roof for $250 with carbon vinyl that includes labor. If this helps anybody out. With that said, to do the whole car with the labor I say that might about right if not a little more.

Gotta disagree. I did mine in gloss black to mimic the Mercedes-Benz E coupe and love it.

There's a company here in Central FL that does a full car vinyl wrap. I think they told me it has a 5 year warranty.

just curious, what do they do about the door jams and under the hood? it would be embarrassing to open your doors and have white door jams on a black car.

then my advise is to get it done that is a good price. but its just plain embarrassing to have different color door jams so use your sunroof to enter and exit the vehicle to save face.

well if you do it you will do as well the door shuts.
It will cost more though.
If your car is black and you do matte black than its not very noticeable but if your car is white and you do black or the way around you gotta do the whole car inclusive door shuts.
I will wrap my car as well. Deciding now the color.
