Removing SOS Error After Replacing Head Unit

Hi,

I have a 2008 335xi and am about to get my head unit replaced. Based on reading the forums, I will get an SOS error once I break the fiber channel MOST loop. In order to fix it, I need to change the following two settings:

(1) TCM_ALIVE_MONITOR
aktiv <- Change to nicht_aktiv
(2) TCM_ID_MONITOR
aktiv <- Change to nicht_aktiv

I have my car at an independent shop right now and they have an autologic tool. Does anyone know how to use the autologic to code the above two settings out? He did not seem entirely sure as to what specifically to do. I am hoping someone on this forum can provide steps that I can provide to him to make the changes. Thank you in advance for the help!

I haven't changed head units however I encountered this error when I swapped my TCU for a Combox.

These codes are for use in NCSExpert. Auto logic has a preset button for various changes I believe which may change more than one code at a time.

If there is an option to search for these lines; these are stored in the Kombi.

Did it work for you coding this out?

The two TCM changes listed above worked for me after I had my BMW Radio replaced by a Pioneer 2-DIN Navigation Unit which caused the SOS Telephone sign to come on.

Thanks!
