At least based on the enterprise site, nothing on their lot will have a hitch, so i'd have to somehow convince them to rent me a pickup from an enterprise truck lot... and to leave it with me for over a week, even if the car is done in a day...

I'm happy enough with the response from my dealership, I'd rather be driving my car than a loaner, and I can just drive my TT for the next couple of days while I'm waiting.

Not so smooth after all...I picked up the car this morning and while filling it with gas next to the dealer i noticed a giant gash on the rear passenger door that wasn’t there yesterday and I smelled coolant. I popped the hood and it’s leaking coolant all over the place...

Sitting at the dealer now listening to crappy 80s soft rock...

My dealer keeps telling me no parts available, I’m in Tampa and it’s too hot to go without AC. I ended up ordering all new connectors, wires and new blower motor and repaired myself for less than $200.

for those of you who repair outside of the recall, i think you can request reimbursement through the recall program

So I finally got out of there...they replaced 2 coolant hoses for free...I'm wondering if I just got lucky that it started leaking after I dropped it off to them and the service tech didn't make any notes of that during the MP inspection.

They're supposed to call me this afternoon to set up an appt at the dealership owned bodyshop to fix the dent they left on there...

It seems more likely that in the process of replacing the pcv heater/harness thing they bump and/or wiggle and/or remove coolant hoses, and the 11/12 year old hoses cracked in the process

Man! Sorry to hear about that, but how random that the hoses started leaking

I went to enterprise and they try to get you a bmw if they have them but if not you basically get whatever you want that's an equivalent car. You can even request to switch it if you don't like it. Ended up getting a Dodge Challenger which wasn't anything special but better than the Altima they put me in originally. Had it for about 4 weeks

been driving rental car since February 2nd. First had an Explorer for a month, hated it. Exchanged it to X3. Yesterday had to return it for service and got 2018 GMC Acadia.
Still no word about the fix from the dealer..

Got my recall done. They had the parts in no problem. I am honestly surprised.

In in Toronto and have a 2007 335i I called and they do have a recall in place for the wiring harness. My blower stopped working.
I called them and bmw Canada and they both don’t know when the harness will be available but it is being ordered and made. They won’t give me a rental or even a exact time when it is in.

So has anyone who had the blower recall completed noticed that the fan blows at variable speeds on auto climate control now?

I don't think mine did this before the recap but i think it does now. It seems like as I accelerate the blower speeds up and when I decelerate it slows down. It doesn't do this when the fan speed is set manually...only when it's on auto control....

Mine runs in auto 100% of the time. I had the recall done, haven't noticed any difference before or after.

Sitting here waiting for my recall to get done in this big fancy new dealership, drinking a coffee from a machine that is absurdly large for something that just grinds beans and heats water. The over-engineering is fitting.

Oh jeeze...I am having quite the odd problem since the blower motor warranty. Immediately after the work was done, I found that my rear trunk button no longer works, and when I unlock my car or the car goes to sleep, the trunk continuously unlocks itself over and over again. I can't keep the trunk locked.

I've narrowed it down to the Comfort Access Passive Go module. When the car wakes up or goes to sleep, you will hear the relays in it clicking away. When it gets to over 20 attempts, it stops.

Needless to say, I'm going back to the dealer tomorrow for them to correct it. I am really disappointed. This appears to be directly related to the work that they did.

They've had my car for a week as of today...fixing body damage they did when they had it for the recall and then also taking another look at the recall itself as the blower now seems to blow with variable speed when it didn't before.

I'm about over this 530 they gave me as a loaner...my accord sport is more fun to drive then this thing. It's like BMW tried to copy Lexus...very luxurious and comfortable...but no soul...
