LCI E92 intelligent battery sensor

I'm receiving an internal error code for the intelligent battery sensor cable. However, It seems as though my 2012 E92 never came with one. Is this normal? If so how can I remove this code. Recently had thermostat and foot module replaced. Out of warranty. Any help appreciated thanks.

Take a picture of the top of your battery
and show it to us.
