Mark,

Don't be alarmed- no Porsches were harmed in the making of this pic:

We wanted to share with you all one of our current major projects in the shop. This beautiful C4S Cab came to us in sad shape, and it truly broke our hearts seeing the aftermath of an unfortunate encounter at a red light with a large SUV.

We immediately dispatched one of our split back flat bed for the damsel in distress:

Next step was to get her in the shop and on to our Car-o-liner fixture bench for some computerized measurements to see where we stand:

Then came drive train removal:

Then initial teardown:

Once the damaged panels have been removed, the new factory panels can begin to be affixed:

As you may be able to see... there is a lot more to come, so STAY TUNED @ MAC

Kindly keep me out of your erections Sir. I love you, but not in that way, friend.

Derek and Joe,

That is one big "ouch" to the C4S Cab.

I am so glad that the owner of the C4S Cab chose MAC. He almost fell into the trap of believing that a collision shop recommended by his local Porsche dealer was going to do great work. Maybe but not always the case because sometimes other financial incentives create those dealer / body shop relationships. Always do your due-diligence or just call MAC.

The damage looks more severe after you peel away the "skin". Keep up the great work.

Mark, I am working very close with my technician on this repair. We are running a little behind schedule due to some hidden damage that was exposed after the initial tear down. The parts are expected early next week. All the replacement parts should be welded in by the end of next week, then we will duplicate the factory sealers/coatings & engine bay color before the drivetrain is reinstalled... next up the refinish dept.
