no lol its not like that at all, Its not the shocks, its definately a metal on metal, high pitched noise. not a continuous squeeking, but 1 squeek per certain type of bump

Did we ever figure out what this was? I have the same problem, running KW V3s on an XI as well.

my 06 325xi with 18" wheels on stock sp makes squeeks over bumps...even at low speed.

its coming from the back, I'm guessing its the rear fold down seats....drives me crazy, sometimes I wonder if mickey mouse is in my trunk

squeaks with KW V3's

I also had occassional squeaking going over bumps after having KW V3's installed on my 335xi coupe. After I had the car raised a bit I asked the mechanic to lubricate the coilovers because they were occassionally squeaking. He used a silicone base lubricant and the squeaking was dramatically reduced. But over time the squeaking does gradually return so I assume the coilovers must be lubricated like every 6 months or so...

Noise from Front Axle/ Right Side


MODEL
E90, E92 (3 Series) with N54 engine and xDrive from start of production up to 10/06/07


SITUATION
A grinding or scraping noise may be heard while cornering at vehicle speeds up to 30 miles per hour. The noise is more pronounced while the vehicle is in the warm up phase and may change intensity during left and right turns.

CAUSE
The right side engine support is making contact with the right side engine mount.

CORRECTION


Inspect the right engine support arm (not shown) and the engine mount for signs of contact at the location shown in the illustration (1). Measure the clearance between the mount and support arm. If the clearance is less than 2.7mm, or if the mount shows signs of contact, replace the right engine mount. Refer to repair instruction RA 22 11 001.
