Why are N52 owners so jealous of N54 owners?

The same phenomenon happened on the Nissan forum, one guy who was a frequent contributor disappeared and it seemed like a decade later was back. Where were you man?! I was on the inside.... |

I walk ridiculously, even painfully s-l-o-w. Why? It's because I run super fast. I could walk fast or even at a normal speed, but it's so meh when you can run as fast as I do. You feel me.

FALSE. My car is already totaled. Double jeopardy applies here.

Sure the 335 isn't outright faster, and with its inability to split lanes (in most situations) it's several times slower in traffic. But that's not the point; the point is that it's plenty quick while being incredibly safe. One of the last all-steel BMWs. |

Seriously these guys going on about turbo lag have no idea what theyre talking about if a stock twins 335i is laggy then there is something wrong. 300+ft lbs at 1400-4500rpm isnt laggy when the turbos are always spooled.

The stock tune leaves the leaves the wastegates wide open when you're just cruising around, seems to cause a bit extra perceptible lag. Good for efficiency though. About the same amount as my Abarth, although the boost threshold is much lower. It's pretty impressive how the bmw turbo motors can spool so low and hold it at least decently to highish rpm.
With mhd or im sure most tunes, the WGDC is a lot higher during normal off boost cruise, so the response is improved quite a bit. Still not as snappy as the NA cars, but very good by turbo car standards. However, some like myself already have a turbo car, and really value the instant snap of an NA motor. |

Whenever I see a 'modded' n52, it is almost always accompanied with a fake m3 badge

There's a 128i in one of my university parking decks with a big ass and wrong hue M badge, and I so badly want to pick up the proper badge and leave it in a bag attached to the drivers door. There's nothing to be ashamed of with any bmw, imo, no need to upbadge a car to make it seem like something it isn't.
