I remember when we were tracking our cars from the factory, on the ships, to the ports. Man that was long long ago!

The same phenomenon happened on the Nissan forum, one guy who was a frequent contributor disappeared and it seemed like a decade later was back. Where were you man?! I was on the inside....

The fact that you ride fast bikes really puts into perspective the reason why you chose such a slow car. The logic is SOUND.

I walk ridiculously, even painfully s-l-o-w. Why? It's because I run super fast. I could walk fast or even at a normal speed, but it's so meh when you can run as fast as I do. You feel me.

BTDT (twice), still have the screenshots and the car. And video of the car on the Autobahn.

A BMW being used as it was intended, not this 4-5 seconds at a time bullshit.

Not gonna lie 100% of the reason I got my e92 was because I stopped riding. My last bike (750) hit 60 in 3.2

Nah, my current bike is not pretend fast; still living the day.

I can hit a deer 100 feet down the road at 60 in my car or at 65 in stuwbie's modded N54 a .8 second sooner, it still totals the car.

Exactly, still faster than Stuwbie's bolt-on N54.

FALSE. My car is already totaled. Double jeopardy applies here.

Yup my last accident was deemed 100% other party's fault. Still the worst crash of my time riding (about 10 years, and I do NOT have a good track record when it comes to crashing bikes) and it really makes you reconsider.

Sure the 335 isn't outright faster, and with its inability to split lanes (in most situations) it's several times slower in traffic. But that's not the point; the point is that it's plenty quick while being incredibly safe. One of the last all-steel BMWs.

But I do like how free revving it is and no lag it's a fun momentum car even if it's not fast. N54 has turbo lag I don't care what anyone says. It's also a great motor and very capable. If you want the total package get an M car. Numbers on paper don't do it justice compared to either an n52 or an n54.

Can't we all just be friends and hate on Prius owners together?
Ah yes the dreaded turbo lag when your car feels like an N52 with a stage 3 intake and Disa valve mod for 0.1 seconds..(full disclosure I don't know what the Disa valve mod is)

Lol i have more lag in my V8 truck when i press the gas(has to kick out of eco mode)
Seriously these guys going on about turbo lag have no idea what theyre talking about if a stock twins 335i is laggy then there is something wrong. 300+ft lbs at 1400-4500rpm isnt laggy when the turbos are always spooled.

The stock tune leaves the leaves the wastegates wide open when you're just cruising around, seems to cause a bit extra perceptible lag. Good for efficiency though. About the same amount as my Abarth, although the boost threshold is much lower. It's pretty impressive how the bmw turbo motors can spool so low and hold it at least decently to highish rpm.

With mhd or im sure most tunes, the WGDC is a lot higher during normal off boost cruise, so the response is improved quite a bit. Still not as snappy as the NA cars, but very good by turbo car standards. However, some like myself already have a turbo car, and really value the instant snap of an NA motor.

Base model 3 series has always been the car to get to say you have a BMW. Vast majority of the fake badges crowd falls into this group

Until they came out with the 1 series of course, and the price of entry dropped by 30%

There's a 128i in one of my university parking decks with a big ass and wrong hue M badge, and I so badly want to pick up the proper badge and leave it in a bag attached to the drivers door. There's nothing to be ashamed of with any bmw, imo, no need to upbadge a car to make it seem like something it isn't.
