335i Axle Hop ?

On my way home from work I turned down a back street near home, fully disabled DTC ( held it down for 10 seconds ) then I let the car roll to about walking pace and floored it. Wet weather made it a bit more exciting than usual.

The back slid out as expected but there was a weird vibration coming from the rear of the car. Its never done this in the dry only on the occasion in the wet. so i'm not sure if it would be axle hop or something else

Has anyone else experienced this ?

Oddly enough I remember being in an M3 piloted by some pro at Eastern Creek drifting the whole circuit - crazy axle tramp, car just vibrates like crazy.... search axle tramp on the M3 board and there are heaps more results than on the 'commoners' board...

Cheers,
Stuart

I went out for a lap in an M3 with Geoff Brabham at Phillip Island and its just crazy how easily the rear breakes traction and slides, as opoesed to the 335. Will have a look at the M3 forums to see.
