4D Halo LED DRL projectors

I bought a 2007 bmw 328i last week and as soon as I got home I realized my headlights were extremely dim. I am very confused because the top lighting on the headlights is working but the eyes are too dim to use the headlights at all. Any suggestions on what to try or a good bmw mechanic in the San Diego area?

No they're too dim to use at night. They're just barely lit which makes me think it's a possible electrical problem

It's either an electrical problem or very likely that the bulbs have never been replaced. Have you tried pulling codes from the FRM (module that controls lights/windows)? If you want to try replacing bulbs, the Osram CBI/CBH/CBB are fairly expensive but worth it.

It could be that they haven't been replaced but I'm not sure how long the lifespan is. I'm pretty sure they were installed around 3 years ago. I also have 2 warning lights on which may show the issue. Here are some pics of them and what the headlights are putting out.

Do you have a picture of the headlights during the day or with your camera flash on? Just based on those pictures, they look a lot like aftermarket replacements and not the OEM modules

Yes, they are aftermarket headlights. I'll attach some pics with the flash on if that helps
