For an Android you can use a standard headphone cable to the aux port and a charging cable to the USB port, BUT you will NOT be able to control nor select music from the car controls. You will have to start and play music from the android directly. The car will also be unable to display any music info. If you have logic7 you are better off converting your music to compatible files and putting them on a small USB drive plugged into the armrest port. |

I’m trying to connect my iPod Classic on my 2016 BMW X5M using the same Y Aux cord i used on my 2010 X5M. However, my sound system is not recognizing this device and i’m getting the following error message - “Aux device is not connected or transfer of track information is not supported by the Aux device”. If i manually press play on the iPod, i’m able to hear music but i have no functionality using my car’s interface.
