sorry i should've read your post more clearly. andre doesn't have an alignment rack but i go to him exclusively for wheels & tires. he is super careful and knowledgeable so i never worry about any damage during the mounting/dismounting process.

for an alignment, i would suggest going to either Getty Automotive in the east end or if you want to go west, check out Seamless Autocare.

cant remember how much they charge... they're not exactly cheap but you definitely get what you pay for.

Hey guys. Where should I go for exhaust modding.

I want to replace secondary cats with a vibrant resonator. I don't have supplies or tools for welding at home.

Yes. Started here four months ago.

Was at Honda and Acura for 16 years before that.

Hey nice!

I went there about 2-1 weeks ago coded my key for comfort access. Don't know if you saw my car, it was the 335is

But man that's nice, I would have love to be a tech for BMW. But I don't know if it's to late to do that.

But I mean, I already have a good job working for National Defence in IT.

What type of education did you need to get into BMW tech position?

Get a job as an apprentice.
Do your three years of schooling.
Buy a metric fuck tonne of tools.
Write your C of Q exam.
Bam, licensed tech.
Spin wrenches for warranty time. LOL

Not going to sugar coat it, it is a tough gig. Both physically and mentally. Need strong diagnostic and computer skills.

Yeah, I think I might stay in my field, really don't want to go back to school.

Do you get any substantial rebates? I played games online with a group of people and one guy said he worked for BMW as a IT engineer or something in IT and said he could get these awesome deals on cars and even M cars. Altough he was working directly in Germanny. But I never knew if that was true.

If it is I might consider applying in my field, because the pay will most likely be lower than what I'm getting here and if there are good deals could tip the decision scale for me

I ended up at AutoXtrëm in Gatineau. VERY good service and alignment is only 80$. They also did my downpipes and did a good job.

Walnut intake valve in Ottawa area?
I'm sure there are some people in Ottawa who did this at a shop somewhere? Where did you go? Best price I found is 495$ but in Montreal.

Anything closer?

Hey guys, switching from Ultramar's 91 Octane to Petro 94. Anyone has a clue which MHD map I should run on? I am currently using the 91 ACN one.

First post here learning curve for me, if I'm posting in the wrong thread lemme know

To the point now, I have an oil leak that is increasing day by day, not 100% what it's from but I suspect it's the oil pan gasket have any of you had this leak? If so what lead you to determine it was that gasket in particular? Any shop recommendations in the area I need to get her fixed asap as it is getting worse and I don't think the oil pan gasket is a DIY for myself with the limited equipment I have access to

Car is currently at 112 000km, oil filter housing gasket was changed at 108 000km so positive it isn't leaking, valve cover gasket was done at a shop in Montreal (by previous owner though) at 85 000km, I've removed the engine cover gave her a good clean so I highly doubt it has gone again but I'm not a mechanic so can't say for sure, how can I determine if this is indeed my oil pan gasket?

Welcome! I'm also new to the forums. My father in law is driving up his 2010 335ix E92 M Sport with only 111k on it in 3 weeks. So stoked to start modding the car, little things at first like angel eye led and a vinyl wrap on the wood interior trim etc...

Best image I could get the father in law to take:

Do you think this shop would do the PE mod? Ie cut open the exhaust and weld in straight pipes?
