radiator fan issues 2011 335i and N55

Any guidance is much appreciated so I did the belt tensioner and pulleys on my car about a week ago and I took out the radiator fan to give myself a little bit more room to work well upon putting the fan back in I take the car for a drive and it almost overheats upon further inspection my fan will not come on now then upon further inspection the fan will come on if I unplug it and plug it back in the fan will come on for about 5 to 8 seconds and then cut off each time I unplug it and plug it in it will go for about 8 seconds 5 seconds and then shut off appreciate your help thank you so much

I need to add I have checked the fuses behind the glove box and they are good and I also checked continuity of the wires from the connection at the fan to the fuse box and they are all good
