Suspension upgrade advice for SE?

As I dont have M-Sport suspension, any advice one where to get a firmer ride, without costing a fortune?

Although I can see this train of thought getting expensive as am also considering a remap, a new set of wheels, and I just read Tony's LSD thread...

Its either that, or buy a whole new car.

H&R springs cost me £150 from CA-Automotive and paid £100 cash for a mechanic to fit them. Not an expensive mod but very very effective...

Thanks, found em, still £150. Looks like exactly the same part no for E92 as E90.

Yes I think they are as my mate Nick has them on his E92. The springs turn a great handling car into an amazing handling car! The springs performed very well when I took my car around the Nurburgring...

I'm sure the E92 still has them, but yes from Nick's perspective he had them!

Do it! H&R rocks!

anyone upgraded the anti-roll bars to leave the ride compliant but with less body roll?

Yes, another member has who's not on here any more has done it. I had a ride in his 335 and it was stiffer round the corners. Great mod!

serjames, are you running stock msport suspension with them? when i was unblocking my washer bottle today i had a quick look at the suspension and it seems pretty straight forward to change the springs and the roll bars

The M-Sport struts are a Bilstein gas strut and are very good, they soak up lumps and bumps far better than the SE shocks, seems silly that the SE is no where near as comfy as the m-sport and even more annoying that it wallows alot more too.

I would look at some KW's, complete kit, these will firm it up nicely and improve the comfort.

Sorry, I'm knackered and have been looking at some KW's for my E30 and have them on the brain, I meant Koni FSD's, these lower 30mm and improve comfort no end, I have heard two very good reports on them from 2 people looking for completely different things, one who wanted to improve comfort and the other who wanted to reduce the wallowing.
Both were very happy and both reported how it also improved in the opposite area as well.

oh ok ta, tbh i was just going to HR spring it until i have more reddies for coilovers, so not to bothered if the shocks end up blowing quicker
