I must admit it's bloody tempting, I wonder if it's the newer lower tax version (couldn't 57 be pre or post change??), luckily I love the Zed too much to change.

Thanks for the offer, i'd prefer the factory sat nav as i prefer the dash and the mileage is a bit higher than i want really.

I'll bare it in mind if i can't find my strict spec ha

My wife exactly.

Which is why we own a 335i manual.

Gradually returning to 'standard' ish spec with a view to changing.

Got a few more miles on her than you want though, which is a shame as it has a rather nice quaiffe diff installed.

Suspect it'll eventually end up in a trader and some lucky git wont realise what they bought lol.

Keep hunting - mine was a AUC and not much interest when I bought it.

You will find it. I just bought a 07 335i, 39k, SATnav and Bluetooth, manual for less than £14k. Only thing not on your list is that it is silver.

Scrap that mine is an SE. I was looking for an M sport untill I realised they are £3-4k more expensive and I diddn't really notice much difference inside.

Why not look at an SE?

As we all know when you get to 335 models the differences between SE and M sport and really only cosmetic and it can save quite a bit of cash to go for SE and then add whatever body bits you want.

Its the older higher tax rate model - as it says CO2 Emission of 228

The change in tax bracket came in from about 24/09/2007 iirc

I'd have to go for a modified insurance policy, and living in Liverpool most insurance companies don't like insuring any car let alone a modified one!

Excuse me for being simple but from the way you wrote that it sounds like you expect a 9% discount or there is some sort of 'deal' on?

Or were you just saying IF you could get 9% off it would be a goer?

I ask because I have found a perfect car that is about 2k over the top end of my budget, but a 9% discount would bring it right in line!

Unfortunately that was me just thinking out loud to see what percentage discount i'd need to make it close to budget!

On a 335 petrol the dealers may be keen to shift especially if its manual and thus technically less in demand, try for the 9% and you just might succeed. Depends also how recently they have repriced the car and how long its been in stock.

By the way this car hadn't been spotted before (guess you lot have been checking) my guess is that it's new stock and, being Stratstone, there will be absolutely no discount available. Plus, they'll know a car with a sun-roof is very rare and desireable, and will also argue that a manual car is sort after too (though come trade-in they'll spank you).

I've dealt with Stratstones before and they are infuriating (until they haven't shifted it in 30/60/90 days).

Yeah, tbh i don't think they would discount it to an amount that i would be able to pay.

If i didn't have the requirement for a Manual gearbox i think i would have bought one by now (£14500 grey ebay one)
