Bought a new windscreen top seal. Stripped the old crumbly one.
It was a job and and half, it just didn't want to swing and round into place in some spots but I eventually got it 95% done correctly and then trimmed and glued the last bit down because I was over fighting it. On a positive note: I saw an M4 GTS awaiting delivery in the showroom when I got the seal.

Here is what the grille and eyelids look like. And here is what it looks like when AE is on The eyelids came unpainted black plastic, I'm too lazy so I vinyl wrapped it in the closest silver I can find, lol. |

Booked my car in for getting my wastegate rattling, seal leaking OEM turbos replaced by the 2nd hand OEM units Socket sold me last year... LOL
This hopefully fixes up the annoy oil consumption problem (1L top up every ~2k km) as I have replaced pretty much every common gasket/seal (short of the rear main seal and oil pan gasket).

Yes, and the upgraded RB PCV valve didn't really do much as far as I can see with the oil consumption issue.

So in the end I bought socket's old ones (when he got RBs initially) and the install gasket kits from Justin. Got a link for the part to buy? Cheers

Took my mate for a drive in my 335i with the roof down, I did some highway pulls and he was impressed. He currently owns a monaro cv8z with very low mileage and he currently runs 300 kws at the rears.. Few days later, he was so impressed that he called me to say that he bought a e93 330d cabrio with m sport package 2010 model as a daily. He is picking it up tomorrow and thanked me for introducing him to the bmw era. I'll make him join the forum as well haha.

Not a cool story about "what I did to my car" but still related, because it is about COOLant
Got a "Low Coolant Level" warning last night. Got home, checked the level - it was super low, I could not even see it. Topped it up with coolant, about 700ml to the "max" lebel. Read up on forums about the coolant level sensor - it only gives you warning when the level is very very low (well below the "min" lebel). So reminder to everyone - check your coolant levels! Mea culpa, I have not checked it for ages. Will keep an eye now. Had some white streaks on the coolant expansion tank - not a lot, just a couple. Maybe there is a small leak there. Going to Advan for service next week, will ask them to check it. |

Are 335s prone to coolant loss, are these top ups normal? |
