Not many examples of people doing that however

you should put a seal around the edges and at the point the wire goes in . http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...morel-jbl.html The above install is from Bing who used to run Mobil Electronics magazine I believe. I don't here anybody that do average installs on midbass drivers ever complain about rattles from the floor. Last edited by ctuna; 05-31-2016 at 07:49 PM.. |

not sure. probably just throw off the acoustics of it. do however make sure to bolt it in nice and tight. i think my right side is loose cause its rattling like crazy. the left side sounds very nice though!
definitely get a sub eventually though lol. my first car had 2 12's. the second 2 10's. i think ill go with a single 10 or 12 on this one though |

So I got the wire but still waiting on the rest of the parts . So I put mesh on the whole wire. I think it's just going to make the job look much cleaner

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bmw-E90-3-se...UAAOSw-nZTn~BN i contacted him directly. its one of the better fit enclosures ive seen. and he custom makes them for you which is great. and then i called sonicelectronix.com and got an alpine mrv-m500 amp to go with an alpine sws-10d4 sub. Still not sure a single 10 will be up to par for what im used to (2 12's in my first car, and 2 10's in my last) but it is way more powerful than most of the subs ive hooked up before. as well as a wiring kit and a shorter RCA's (gonna pull from the jl amp preouts) all for 250. so looking at 450 to add a sub? thinking thats not too shabby |

Finally done
So I put some sponge rubber foam around each speaker and the woofer under the seat too. Then put some dampening on the doors but Decided to not but any under the seat. With the plugs I bought from ecs tuning for the Underseat connection it made this easy to do. Now for the performance it sounds nice for just replacing the speakers and adding a amp. I do need to add a cleansweep but for now it will do |

Blast from the past...
I finally got the amp installed, the PAC LOC was a little iffy because of the recessed outputs which weren't compatible with my first set of RCAs. I've still got the OEM HIFI door components in, and with the MBQ underseats, the 75x4 RMS i'm feeding to the front stage it sounds better than I expected. With the HU flat, I just needed a bump (6 Dbs) at 80 Hz (personal taste) and (after using the RTA) another bump of about 3 db's at 800 Hz to get pretty flat. No problem with the boosted highs from the factory. |
