When I go to VIR I usually end up instructing somehow, but prefer to be in the solo/advanced/race group with no students. We'll be back up at VIR in another week or two (if we get some more warm days) for a private test day or two. Then back up there in early March. Let me know when you're going to be there and I'll bring the 335.

Private test days...baller! March 3-4, 2008, is when I'm going. I'll let you know if I'm going for sure when it's closer to that date.

If you don't want to instruct, you can always sandbag your experience.

FWIW - private test days - get invited to be a moving target on the track and do some testing to help setup different racecars. I would prefer to spend the $4k per day on something else if you know what I mean...

I've tried just registering online and paying my money to be in the advanced/solo group. Then about two days later I either get an email or phone call asking if I can instruct. Guess I could register under another name...now that's an idea.

Yeah ..use "Jonny Pneumonic".

BTW, I just signed on to be a "coach" at Hooked on Driving out here in NorCal.

Yeah, I tried to sign up with the ACNA to make it a 3day event, but they were so booked.

It's with trackdaze, which is better than any cca event...for people who don't need instructors. They usually provide you with lunch each day too! And you get a shirt.

Dammit! The event was last week. I always opt for both days, if it's available. Maybe the next one you can get me in.

I want to go to Cali and try Sears Point and Laguna Seca. You can get me in for free as an instuctor.
