[lighting] e90 angel eye headlight question.. (pic)

2006 e90 325i
first pic is my car and 2nd and 3rd are random pics.

as you see the pic those oem headlights has just bulbs,
so just like other pics, i simply want to upgrade mine to the one like has ring bulbs in it, you know wat i mean.

to do that lighting, i read some threads and posts and they say since i have those headlights, the entire headlights need to be replaced,
not just only replacing bulbs to angel eye bulbs.
is this true?
they say about conversion kit, projector, etc.
i dont really get it because i am noob.

what i need to buy then? ? in cheap way. (budget....)

plz help!

Those are xenon projectors. You would need to buy new xenon headlights and a HID kit.

It will cost you upwards of $1k

Thats right, you need to replace your entire headlight. Do yourself and your car a favor and stay away from ebay aftermarket headlights. Jlevis is currently working on a quality aftermarket solution but it has not been released yet. So that leaves you with two other options.

1. Buy OEM E90 LCI halogens, which have "angel eyes" but are not xenon.
2. Buy OEM xenon's and have them converted to work with your car.

You have xenons so no need to replace the headlights. You can upgrade the angel eyes with LED units to change them to a xenon white.

You don't want to go cheap, trust me. Your best option would be purchasing some OEM E90 LCI halogens if you want angel eyes.

If you want xenons and angel eyes, I'd purchase a set of OEM Xenons but it'll cost you.

You're better off going with OEM.. It's going to be a while until DEPO comes out with a replica headlight for the E9x models.
