I would choose 189's over LM reps...however real LM's > 189's no doubt!

I like the Classic BBS look, but have to admit that I don't like the LM Reps - they are too dense the the lip doesn't look quite right - they end up looking small and too dense on your car.

I agree, sorry. For most BMWs, especially the e90, i like wheels with bigger and fewer spokes. I have 162s

Not a BBS fan - real or not, nor do I like any of the thousands of "mesh"-type wheels in general. I just don't like that style. Just about any 5 spoke wheel looks better IMO. The stock wheels look much better.

I like the stock wheels better too. I hate most of the wheels I see people put on their cars here. Sorry, don't mean to offend JMHO.

The concept is, my dear sir, putting something that is a fake onto one´s vehicle versus putting something real, authentic, and good looking.

When I didn't know anything about wheels, and saw the LMs for the first time, I thought, "Wow, those thin spokes remind me of bicycle wheels, who would do that to their car?"

Then I got to know more and understood that wheels are more than just appearance, they're also about weight and strength. And of course, about price and the inherent association with people who are "better off". But unfortunately, most people do not understand that much about wheels, and tend to just go with appearance.

Regardless, buying a replica is akin to buying a $20 Rolex knockoff. It´s not getting the real thing but its purpose apparently is to fool some people into thinking you did get a really expensive watch (or set of wheels).

Knockin on the reps

Do you feel like a bigger man now, Mr Roundel??

Personally, I like the 189's better. But not because your LM's are reps.
