VS7 with optional finish... When are they shipping???

Those who ordered the regular finish have had their wheels for weeks. Vendors now have wheels in stock. When are those who ordered an optional finish going to get their wheels?

If the wheels are already made, why the hold up? I was originally told one additional week after the standard finishes were shipped. That was weeks ago. I have been told several dates since then. Currently I don't even have an estimated date of shipping.

I just want an official shipping date!

Thanks for creating this thread, Kris. The original VS7 GB thread is pretty much dead and the only updates I get are usually through emals and IMs.

Carlos, please use this to thread for updates on the optional finished rims. I know there are a lot of people still waiting for their wheels specially after seeing the beautiful pictures posted by those who opted for the standard finish, lucky bastards.

I think the biggest question from everyone is when will be the shipping date. Sounds like everyone was told that they will be shipped sometime next week. But is there a more definite date? Also, it would be nice for everyone to know what the delay issues are or were.

Thanks,

I can't wait to see tracking info in my email. :P

It's just extra frustrating to see vendors with the wheels in stock while some of the group buy customers haven't even got their wheels yet.

Apparently there have been some problems with the finishes on my wheels. It is getting resolved. Not sure of the status of everyone else's wheels.

You guys are being pretty laid back about this. Could you imagine if some the guys who got the standard finish were waiting this long? Holy sh*t, all hell would break loose.

My wheels are in transit right now. I believe mine are amongst the first optional finishes to ship out. They should arrive 9/26. They are flat black.

I was told 1 to 2 weeks. They are having problems with the finishing shop. My only concern is the amount of time the aluminum wheels sitting there unprotected. Anyone know how this could affect the bare metal?

Kris, when is your wheels' expected delivery date?

That sucks to hear.

According to UPS, my wheels are still "In Transit - On Time" for delivery on 9/26. UPS hasn't updated my tracking info since 9/21 though. My tires come in on Thursday (wheels will be installed that day with pics if all goes well), carbon fiber BMW wheel caps tomorrow, SE panel filter tomorrow, oil changed Friday, and I'm going to clean my MAF on Friday as well.

Car should be looking and running the best since I've owned it. Just in time for a driving trip.

My wheels are all FLAT black. It will finish off my black out theme nicely.

I'll have pics up Thursday if everything comes in as planned. BTW, I have an E46 M3.

I purchased carbon fiber BMW caps from EAS :rocks: My stock center caps will work fine too. As for TPMS, I have an E46 M3 so I don't have to worry about that. E46 M3 has a different monitoring system.
