Will this new suspension fit?
Im looking at a nearby deal for an upgraded set of springs and shocks. Here's the link:
https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1577900 This gentleman has a 2011 E90 328i with the H&R Cup kit installed. I need to know if it will fit my 2010 E92 M-Sport 335i. A quick search shows different kits for the 335i and lesser models, as well as E92 and E90 models, so its not looking good for me. I don't know a lot about suspensions, so can anyone figure it out?

I noticed this is the correct forum so i reposted here.
I looked more into it and i see that they'll likely bolt in, no problem. The only difference is the spring and damper rates. Would this kit act like a proper 335i H&R kit for me?

I think, architecturally speaking, the parts will fit. But that shouldn't be your concern here. You're wanting to put springs and dampers designed for a sedan on a coupe. Those vehicles have different curb weights, wheelbases and weight distribution.
In all likelihood, you'll end up with some seriously uneven ride height front-to-back. |

I called H&R and he checked the spring and damper rates between the Race Cup kit and the kit for the 335i is the same. Ill prob buy them and then post pics on the fitment and measure before/after to make sure the expected drop is what i get. That may help a few buyers/sellers from 328i-335i sales.

I should note that H&R rep stated the kit for the 328i was the same for the 335i, both E90. However, he checked that kit with another kit for the E92 (because theyre different?) and they ALSO the same. I many have not been clear earlier.

According to H&R's website, E92 328i, E92 335i and E90 335i all have different part numbers for their sport springs. Not sure why the cup kits would all be the same.

Most manufactures will pump out different part numbers to help with sorting and data. They may be idental parts, but different numbers to track sales data for different body styles or trim levels. It also helps to keep the questioning down from people that are more into information like spring rates or damper valving. If you see different part numbers you will assume its only for that car. That means less questions about it when it fits all the variations of a chassis when they may weigh differently.
