You can thank BMW for that. They are really going out of their way to make Obd2 tuning Extremely difficult.

Especially with tons of ecu versions floating around its a never ending fight.

Just get the JB4 stage1 Its 4 sensors so its a very easy install and once you do it once you can probably get it done in under 5min.

This solution will get you a nice plug and play boost in performance now and if and when you want more power or features you can jump up to the JB4 stage2 with all the CAN steering wheel controls and maps, or if COBB ever releases something you can always try that.

and why a dealer can flash my car with their PPK, They flash my car via OBd2 or they remove my ECU to flash the PPK? Why dont someone bring a brown paper bag with cash and corrupt a tech or someone? You can buy anyone or anything with cash, this isn't a secret nuclear weapon. I cant figure out why nothing move, this engine is 3 years old and produced in thousand if not millions.

OE tuning can flash by OBD2 or do a bench-load, but no other tuner seems to have figured out what they did.... Find that extremely odd... No love between the tuners as usual...

For the 535 and X5 crowd we are equally screwed... (JB4 N55 doesn't work on our variants, so we are stuck with JB3 Stg 1). Plenty of flashes for the X5, but all are bench-load, except for OE, who seems to have cracked the code, but won't offer a hand held solution. I really am holding out for Cobb as my last and final mod for the X, otherwise I may have to trade up to a X5 50i, which isn't where I'd like to go financially...

LOL... I'd be happy with 350-400 hp, don't need 555hp... Plus, 100k price tag is WAY out of my budget... (not that my 70k X5 was anything to sneeze at)

Think about it this way..it'll be the end of all be all..no need to mod it except for an exhaust..

My dad is in need of replacing his POS Lexus GX470 soon and I'll be doing everything I can to convince him to buy an X6 or X5 M.

I'd probably be the one driving it most of the time though..

LOL.... Once you start modding, you can't stop... Next thing I'll have the X5m and will be looking for the Typhoon mod from G-Power... Now my 100k death wagon is looking at another 20k in mods.... We all know how it goes...

Well they have the password for the tuner protection.. They have performance software which is why they are working hard on locking tuners out. Business 101

We can bench load the n55 ecu no problem.

I have been driving around with an active flash for awhile now.
