Nox sensor spacer

Hi guys, my nox sensor is bring up multiple codes along with fuel pump and cat sulpherised.
Instead of buying a new nox sensor (£500) would I be able to use a spacer or 'mini cat' to bring it out of the exhaust flow? Or would this affect the car badly.
I have done this on an O2 sensor on my old car and the engine light went away and it ran better as of.

Thanks
