328xi shuddering??

Hi forum

Noticed a really random issue in my bmw today. While cruising along in traffic doing 30-40k I pushed the accelerator to pass someone, and my car began to shudder. Rpms were sparatic, but immediately went back to normal if I let off the accelerator.

If I push a little bit harder on the gas pedal, it does go normally and shift normally.

Not totally sure if it’s a motor or driveine issue however everything shifts fine when I put in Manaul mode. I am unable to replicate the issue in Manaus mode entirely. Car shifts fine even at high rpms and load.

Coils and spark plugs are recent but maybe that’s a place to start? Any input appreciated.

service the transmission.

the GM trans will get a TC shudder under light acceleration when the fluid sucks.
