How well is the rebuilt coilovers?
I am thinking of getting a set of rebuilt coilover, but I am just wondering how good rebuilt can be? does it actually worth it?
i am thinking of KW v1, but I heard KW would rebuild the front strut only but not the rear one. Is it true? So rear strut might blow even the front strut is rebuilt? thanks. |

Sounds like you've received some misinformation.
Why would they only rebuild the front struts? Now, if the owner only sent the front struts in for the rebuild, then that was their choice. |

It may be that there isn't any point in rebuilding the rear strut as the price to rebuild is same as replacement. Rear strut is a little simpler than the front as it is separate of the spring so it might make more sense to just replace if/when it blows.
On my other car, I run BCs and the cost for a new shock cartridge is $130 while the cost to rebuild an existing one is $100. But on KWs, I don't think the user has the ability to remove the shock internals so KW has to do it. While on the rear, it's simple as just swapping the shock. |

For V1, rebuild (without warranty) is $135 per corner. If you are original owner, I believe the coils have a lifetime warranty, so long as they were not used outside of the suggested limits.
