i was thinking about getting a jb3 and terry from burger motorsport said dont get it, get the jb4 because the jb3 is no longer supported. i said what does that mean, but he never responded. so i dont understand what it means no longer supported, like they wont make updates for it anymore? wasnt 2.0 the latest software update and it came out awhile ago. its not like theyre making software updates every week. unless not supported means something else? thanks

The JB4 is far more advanced and powerful. I really would recommend going with it. If you are dead set on the old JB3, they are pretty cheap in the For Sale section now

All the software updates are probably going to be catered to the JB4. So its probably best to get it, I believe there isn't much of a price difference anyways. The JB3 still gives great performance, but the JB4 has more features, especially for logging, etc.

2.0 is and will be the last version of the JB3. Its no longer being updated. The last firmware update on the JB3 is the 2.0 7/4 version.

I don't really understand what you want...

The JB3 is the older generation of a product. There will be no more updates or anything like that. Of course they will still answer questions and help you out if you have any problems with it.

And from the other thread:

There doesn't seem to be a reason not to at least try out the JB4. You may not think you'll use all the features, but it is definitely more powerful and superior to the JB3. It doesn't really make sense to get something they won't support. Sure, Terry will help you out (he has responded to all my emails), but it would make much more sense to go with the tune that is being actively improved upon.
