JB4 will have CPS offset (aka timing advance) support

They are testing it right now. For more information visit the BMS forums (I think I am not allowed to post links to that forum here, but you can easily find it if you know what CPS offsetting is )

will the user have to control it or will it be "tuned into" the JB4 !?!?

i heard across the board that it probably wouldn't benefit as much to most applications.

It will be user adjustable (0 to 100%) within some safe limits set by BMS (if you offset the CPS too much you can get misfires, etc. due to the fact that the crankshaft also drives the injector timing, camshaft timing, etc.)

The injector timing being offset is whats causing Procede misfires, but I don't see a 2000 page thread about it

The largest thread I've seen on the topic of misfires was on b.boost.

Because as people read that huge thread, most began to understand how the ecu works. Another reason is that there were many cars "autotuning" them selves to shit boost levels, but thats just a guess.

Makes sense. Probably wouldn't be able to get Autotuning to work if they were constantly seeing knock as it tries to hit stock ignition...

Even if their 'final version' of Autotuning isn't as conservative...it will still be hitting stupid low boost without proactive timing retard...and that is simple engine operation 101.

Just another way to market your product and get more money.

MT or AT?

The amount of actual issues is a fraction of a percent. You only hear about it cause nobody has anything to talk about, so the only people saying something are people with a problem. which you could count probably on one hand if not 2.
