Not sure if this is the right place to post but I installed my DP yesterday and had no check engine lights then today after driving about 30 miles my engine light came on. Is this normal? Will the DP fix from burgertuning fix this?

Yes, the SES will come on when the cats are removed.

so u say that if i have stock cats + catlless dps there wont be any ses light? OP do u have catless or catted dps?

as i know if u install catless dps u always get ses light in case u have dps fix or procede

Does any tune's (JB or PROCEDE) DP Fix adjust AFR targets or they only delete/prevent the SES light to show up???

Yup dp will trigger a ses light after some driving. If youre looking for. Tune, the procede has it built in, or u can buy the bms dp fix im not sure how much it is but if I remember correctly it was pricey.

I'm looking at putting on DP's soon... Was it hard? I noticed you are also in Austin

Both the PROcede and JB4 have o2 sims/downpipe fix included, and any other tune will require a standalone o2 sims like the BMS downpipe fix.

ok so...i have a JB3 v2 and no BMS CAN tool. I actually just placed an upgrade order for the JB4 and USB an hour ago but in the meanwhile i am trying to get a better understanding of my SES light and make sure i am not going to mess anything up on my 07 E90. so i had my ******** Dp's installed without installing my Dp FIX because of my original confusion from the quote above. all was fine after the install yesterday and i didnt not have an SES light, but after driving around town today my SES came on. i parked and took my wife into a shopping center for about an hour and when we came back out the car started just fine and the SES was gone. we then drove home and right as we pulled into the drive way the light came back on. we parked my car and jumped in her SAAB Aero to let my car sit and finish our home shopping expedition. we got home a few hours later and i installed the JB Dp fix and started my car...SES was still on. is this normal and i just need to drive the car for about 30 miles? has anyone made this mistake before?

any thoughts or help would greatly appreciated

After installing catless DPs it can take up to 100miles for the light to go on. It varies with car to car. The code is there but will disappear. You will need to clear the code with a BT, but since you are getting the JB4 then you can clear the code with it.

Hi Dagnle - i actually found a shop off of South Lamar and Oltorf that was able and willing to do the install for me and it only cost $250. i had originally planned on the DIY but after getting the car on the ramps, i couldn't fit under it and work properly. after watching the shop do the install. i was very happy that i paid them to do it
