Wow that is some bright red color there, it looks awesome. Are you planning on wrapping over the wood trim with something that accents the red or just leave it as is?

That looks way better than I expected. Somewhat brighter than my coral red but not in a bad way.

Could try to find a cheap arm rest, for like 40 or 50$ to do it on before you dig in. I would HIGHLY suggest that.

The leather itself looks great in person too, The seat needs a big more done too it, An the hard part will be fixing the black trim pieces that are messed up.

I am not sure what is the best to use, I really hate interior paints that chip and look cheap. I might use some type of Epoxy (like they use on fridges) It has a nice shine and is super tough. Any other ideas?

NavyGuy, I can't see the seatbacks in the pictures, so I was wondering what you did with them? Whether you painted them coral red (if the dye would even bind to that material?), or if you left them black. You mentioned that painter's tape doesn't stop the dye, so if you didn't paint them, how'd you dye the seats while avoiding the seat backs?

I took the seat back off, and actually broke the tabs.

That's rough :/ Is there anything in particular I should watch out for?
And any updates on your interior? How's it coming along

Take apart as much as you can. I don't mind a few broken tabs once I put it together it looks great.

The door panel looks great! I want saddle brown, so you may have inspired a winter project. How many coats of dye did you end up putting on the door panel?
