Correct me if I'm wrong, maybe its the angle of the pic, but the center vent seems too far back, I thought the heat is closer to the Roundel.

We had to move it back a couple of inches past where we wanted it, because it won't clear the motor anywhere else. We also had to make it a little bit more shallow than we wanted... unfortunate, but we think it works very well.

There was no way to make it as close to the roundel as we wanted, without building the hood up.

Luckily, we found that the heat escapes the hood very well, even when the car is stationary, and if you are in motion, the air going through the kidney grilles will help push hot air out. We think it's a good solution.

m3 sedan has the same hood as the e92. Will not work for e90's

I really doubt they want to do anything else for sedan. Particularly b/c facelift E90 will have a different hood due to changes in front grilles. But I guess if people are willing to wait and PAY for it...its not completely out of the question.
