So, you dont like the assymetry of the badges on the car, but you're proud of the car you bought?
Here is what I did: Here is the DIY: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...47&postcount=1 What do you think?

Sorry, doesn't float my boat ... no badge, and no plate frame also!

At first I was too lazy to debage my car, and I thought that the shadowline badge would look good on my car to go with the black accent theme. After putting on the shadowline for a couple of hours, I thought that it stood out wayy too much on AW so I debadged it. Pretty happy with the outcome. |

Sparkling Graphite and Red leather (and red accents) look awesome! I really like the exhaust! Oh yeah, and no badges.

Instead of trashing them, anyone who doesn't want their emblems can send them to me! Send me a PM!

Instead of debaging, you should consider taking a look at the smoked/blacked out badges and emblems that we have on our site, from bimmian. It is a great alternative, and different. It isn't something you see everyday, which is a cool thing.

Debadged is for sure the cleaner look but has anyone ever considered color matching their emblems to their paint/body color? I think that would look sweet also.
AW= with AW badges Blue= color matched badges. Red= with color matched red badges.... and so on. |

Heat gun
If you aren't looking to save your badges, you could use the heat gun instead of the hair dryer. I used the heat gun and it took literally seconds per character. The badge started warping after about 10 seconds of me waving the heat gun back and forth over the individual character. I used the floss but all I had to do was snag the top of the character and it fell off (no joke) and then the double sided tape was easy to rub off as it was warm from heating it.
I think it took longer to plug in the extension cord and heat gun than it did to heat and remove the badge. I used a little bit of Goo-gone to clean up the area but I was really able to remove the double sided tape with a slight rub. Heat Gun ROCKS! I really like the end result. Very clean.
