Best LED angel eye bulbs?

What are the best angel eye / halo replacement bulbs out there? I bought a set from 360infiniteusa.com and one of them went dead after only 3 months. Even if they do respond to email and warranty the bulbs, it's very annoying due to the labor intensive install (pull the front wheels and fender liner). I like the super white LED look of the newer 3 series, so I'd like to get another pair, but I expect several years out of the bulbs, not a few months.

This is actually an edit from another post, but it should answer your question:

I've spent well over $1500 buying every single reputable Angel Eye bulb on the market for my coupe, and the majority of that money was a complete waste. As I found out angel eye bulbs are very serious pieces of hardware and they need to be as bright as headlights to just be passable. That is why the LED bulb market except for one, or two manufacturers is just beyond anemic. For the coupe there are only 2 LED Angel Eye bulbs that are worth mentioning, the Lux and the Angel iBright, for the Sedan there is one bulb worth mentioning, the Lux. The LED's in the good kits can cost $50, let alone the high powered heat sink, which are expensive and complex to manufacture because they are custom milled, and sophisticated power supplies, which run another $40 to manufacture (I've contacted manufacturers and these are actual figures, $54 on LED's (highest number I've seen) and $40 on power supplies (more or less what all power supplies for the good bulbs run), which are fairly complex and not just resistors and capacitors). So what happens is the competition can't even make a product that is half as bright as the best bulbs, and they don't dare to because you barely make money if your hardware costs hundreds of dollars which is why the competition instead try to pass off dollar store toys as being in the same class, and there is no comparison.

It's worth mentioning that even though the Lux or Angel iBright kit is so much brighter than the competition, it's still the minimum brightness that is passable. I wouldn't even bother changing the bulbs if they were any dimmer let alone half as bright like the other options. The stock bulbs are much more visible than that would be otherwise because they have a yellow tint, when you start to have a white bulb which blends in with the headlight housing you're going to reduce their visibility, so you really need the serious hardware or it will look anemic and like a toy, which is why when you buy the toy bulbs you don't get good results, and getting visibility that's just on par with stock is hard.

Also you don't have to remove the fender liner and wheel to instal the Lux or Angel iBright. Hope that helps.

I just installed the Lux H8 V3. given the design limitations of the angel eyes, the LUX is as good as it gets.

I thought my gp thunders were quite bright in comparison to a lot of the other LED angel eye solutions, but when i installed the Lux...i was quite surprised.

I also just responded to your visitor message we left on our page. Yes you just need to replace the stock bulbs. Most all kits you buy have 2 bubls in them, one for each headlight to illuminate all 4 rings.

Yes LUX is the most popular option and in my opinion the highest quality LED PNP in the market

I see this is a resurrected old thread. I'm new to E90 (1/16) and I got Lux H8 160, pretty pleased with them but the install is a bitch if you have large hands. I ended up pulling the front bumper and the headlights.

I was in the same position you are in. I went through several bulbs until I found the ones from Genssi. They are the brightest ones I found. Plug-n-play with no codes.
