Remote key/diversity module conundrum

Evening folks,

I know this has been touched on before but I cant find a solution after reading other threads.

A few months ago in lockdown, my remote keys stopped working. Both were charged OK as I use them each a week about. I checked the tailgate and a couple of the wires were breaking so I spliced new sections in but this didn't work.

I have an extended warranty but as I thought it was a simple fix and we were in lockdown so dealers were shut, I had a bash myself. Sadly, this means I cant really claim on the warranty now.

So, today, I replaced the diversity module and one key now works perfectly, the other doesn't remote unlock but starts the car fine. Both keys are now remembering the personalised settings on the iDrive and seat settings etc, but only one operates the locks remotely.

Anyone any ideas for the solution?

TIA

Arch
