As we are on X5 and decently priced tow kits available that you guys have found? I need one so I can buy a boat
Nothing yet! It seems that from my research the Invisihitch is one of the best options for the X5. It looks like you have to do a little cutting work to the rear diffuser, but the trade off is that you don't have some huge tow hitch hanging below your bumper. I think it's also rated for 6,000lb tow capacity.

Thanks for the info, I hate having a huge tow hitch sticking out waiting to bust my kneecap.

So last night I had some new Conti ExtremeContact DWS06's installed and I kept the summers. Thinking I may sell them to someone needing a decent set of summers for cheap.

Those tires RFTs?

Sorry about the E90 Loss.

Thanks man. If you're talking about the X5 tires, negative on them being RFT's. The fronts are 275 Pirelli P-Zeros and rears are 315 Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sports. Discount tire measured them all at 6/32nds.

I'm curious on this as well. Have had the x5 for a week now and really love it. Planning to do an MHD Stage 1+ tune on her this weekend :-)

Thanks man! Yeah, here's one of the damage. Airbag did go off which is probably a big part of why they totaled it. But wise from the hood, bumper and bumper suppor, the damage barely even touched with radiator and FMIC. So sad to see her like this But life goes on and I can't tell you how nice it is not having to tote around spare parts and spend the equivalent of a full time job every week troubleshooting various quirks and issues.

Things I do like about it would be a shorter list because it doesnt have any redeeming qualities

The main reasons i hate it

Unreliable $3500 in repairs in a year and a half thank god i bought a warranty
N55 has all the same problems as n54 except wastgate rattle
Fuel economy is 17 mpg mixed driving
Drives like any other crossover suv
If your going to have a bmw it needs to drive like a bmw because why pay to fix something that drives like a ford edge
Worst car i have ever owned by a mile

Sorry you had a bad experience.

The N55 is why i went with the diesel: mpg, the tq given it is heavy, not like the n54, etc.

I haven't driven many other crossover suvs but what I like about it is it drives almost like a sedan vs. a truck. maybe that is the same for all crossovers? I like how it handles but have limited other experience.

If you dislike it so much what are you going to buy instead?

Sorry to hear about your experience. Fingers crossed that mine holds together a bit better. That said, so far it's been absolutely fantastic. Not the quickest vehicle in the world by after an MHD Stg 1+ tune it's really woken up the N55.

Great memory, you're correct. Last year we were rear ended on I-290. This year I swerved to avoid a car that slammed its brakes right in front of me and collided with another car. I like to think that we got all the accidents we'll ever need out of the way for the rest of our lifetimes

Damn man, I'm just seeing this. Are you sure you're not a cat?

Please be careful, me thinks you're on your 7th life now Either way, I'm very happy to see that you walked away with your life and body intact. Hopefully I'll still be seeing you around, despite the fact that you have an X5 now. You were a great asset to community, especially seeing as how you were one of the few vocal purchasers of the MMP Stage 3's.

Enjoy your new vehicle in good health and again please be careful, lmaoo. I most certainly don't want to see another "thread" from you again.. at least go through an entire year first

P.S: We have the same engine now!

Ha! Thanks man! I really appreciate it. She was a really fun car, especially with those MMP's

And I figured that the X5 would be a good way to get a nice big/safe vehicle given how this past year has gone with the 335. That said, it took one whole week until I had a Stage 1+ MHD tune on her. Perhaps I should throw on some PI and Pure Stg 2's as well??

I'd hold off on the Pure Stage 2's personally, there's some "big things" right around the corner that are more bang for your buck right now

I respect Pure and everything they've done/are doing for the community, but their offering currently pales in comparison, for what you pay for, with what's only a few months out... if that.
