Anyone needing work done?

I've been doing a lot of N54 (and some N55 and N52) work over the last several years so I thought I'd start a thread with my info in case anyone else local is interested. I'm located near Tacoma, WA if anyone is looking to get work done on their N54's. Here is a list of my experience on these cars:

Walnut Blasting
MHD flashing and tuning support
JB4 installs and support
Fuel pump upgrades (fuel-it, boost concepts, ect.)
Intakes (including inlets)
Charge Pipes
Down Pipes
Intercoolers
Exhausts
Water/ Meth Injection
Catch Cans
Brakes
Any and all fluid changes
Suspensions
Short Shifters
Turbo installs
Clutch and Flywheel installs
Angel Eyes
Bumper installs
Water pumps and thermostats
Valve cover gaskets
Oil Filter Housing Gaskets/ Oil Cooler Gaskets
Injectors including coding
Misfire diagnostics/ coil and spark plug installs
Basic coding
Starters
Alternators
AC Compressors
LSD installs
Drive shafts/ axles

I'm sure there's a lot more I'm forgetting as well but that's the most common stuff I come across.

All experience comes from working on my own two N54 powered vehicles before working on others. I have a many local references from previous work that can vouch for me. I'm no professional, but I have a ton of experience with these cars and have most every tool needed in my home garage to do the work. Willing to travel to you but prefer to work out of my garage. Shoot me a PM with your phone number if you need any help.

Also, for the northern folks, username ihernandez7910 (Ivan Hernandez) is located in Lake Stevens and can do all the same things I can. He's not as good looking as I am but I would still trust him with my own car so don't be afraid of him either.

VCG replacement gone bad?

To all those people who have done Valve Cover Gasket replacement on N51 engine – have you had issues starting after replacement?

Last year I did the replacement with help from a “mechanic”. After we put everything together the car won’t start. It started throwing codes with SES light. First it looked like valvetronic motor re-learn issue. Eventually we got the car to start but with SES light and fault code pointing to bad eccentric shaft sensor. We had closed the cover by then so didn’t want to open and change the sensor, but we cleaned the connector. The SES went away and car ran fine for some time. The SES light is back now and I am dreading changing the sensor.

Any experience car not starting after replacement? Things to watch out for?

Also, have people changed the valve cover (not just the gaskets)? It’s approx. $400 so just replace it pro-actively? Thoughts?

I can personally vouch for the top quality work that Todd does. He did a full swap on two cars a few years ago. Mutual friend wanted to return his car back to stock so I got all of his performance parts while he got my stock parts. Todd swapped downpipes, charge pipe, intercooler, cold air intake and installed coilovers and meth kit on my car. All in about a 4 day time frame. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my 1M to him. In fact, I may need a clutch replacement soon.

Thanks for the review! I got a lot of hours in on both of those cars. I would love to get my hands on that sweet 1M so let me know when you're ready to do that clutch!

Great work! I was 3 hours from home and my serpentine belt shredded and didn't have the tools to do the job myself and I posted it on the PNW N54 page and Todd responded pretty quick and went way out of his way by leaving work early picking up the parts for me and was able to fix it in less then an hour while it was hotter then hell out. I ended up being stuck for about 2 hours total before it was ready for the road. All in all great service and saved me from going to the stealer ship.

Looking to have you install my JB4 kit and bluetooth adapter. I have a 2013 335i N55 that I would rather not try to do myself. Send me a DM I'm in Spokane but I'm in the westside of the state about once a month for a couple days.
