I just found all of the possible ZB #'s (programs) last night.
Later this week, I'll take some time out to go ahead and try to see which (if) one works for us. I'll keep you guys posted. Our snow seems to be gone for the year, so it'll be hard to test the elsd function, so I haven't rushed to try. |

Just a thought. Have you tried DTC yet? I've used it before when I've got one wheel stuck in the air on steep driveways (stiff antiroll bar). With everything on, it just cuts power and the car gets doesn't go anywhere. With DTC only the car won't cut power. It only used the brakes according to the user manual. As one wheel spins it grabs the brake giving an eLSD effect even though it's not performing that function specifically. The manual also mentions that it's useful in snowy conditions where cutting power can make things worse.

Amusing, I want my eLSD turned off.
I believe Quaife has a sale coming up as well.

Nice! I flahsed the DSC on my 10/2007 production date 328 a couple of months ago and didn't realize I had added the eLSD feature. Having said that, the car has been behaving quite well on the snow (like it has an LSD) and I have summer tires on.

The 135is was hyped to have special programming in eLsd and Dsc. In sure same with 335is. Both claimed to relax the limits of standard #35i DSC for more tail happy I wonder what versions are available for n52 versions and if there is any overlap @cuco can you run down how this was done to source the updated modules programming

Update: DSC's are the same between 328 and335. The difference in programming would be in the ZB number and/or VO for a 135/335. Does soemone know anybody with a 135/335 that has done a DSC program update?

Found an interesting thread talking about the DSC alpina software. It mentions the ZB numbers for Alpina DSCs.

Noooo, don't try it on the tranny this is just DSC. The (GM) tranny flash is yet to be seen.

Also want to see if any 335i guys did the whole DSC retrofit. I mean the risk is minimal, esp if people have balls to do tranny flashes

Alright. I tried to use the new eLsd DSC software on my 2006 330i.
It did not work. WinKFP reports that the software and hardware versions don't match. From there it won't proceed to overwrite the old version. So that's a dead end. If we want eLSD we'll need to buy/source the new updated DSC module/unit then flash it to the vehicle. |

All E90's 6-cylinder E90's use BMW's DSC90 unit/software.
The problem is that there are a few revisions to the actual hardware over the years. Each hardware change comes with a new revision #. The software flashes are keyed to a corresponding hardware level. If the two down't match, you get a hardware variant index error when trying to flash. |

The GKE215 indicates that the software is for the 2nd generation (TU) of the ZF 6speed Automatic Tranny. This poses two issues... Your car is equipped with the General Motors 6Speed. It uses completely different software and hardware. The ZF Software won't work. Second, even early 06 and 07 ZF units will be ineligible for this software because they utilize the GKE211 Transmission controller, which has about half of the memory/storage capacity of the GKE215 unit found in the 6HP19TU/GKE215 ZF models. So the software can't physically fit on these either. It would be awesome if a company made performance software for both the ZF autos and GM units... |
