335d DBC MALFUNCTION
Got this warning on my 2009 335d immediately after replacing the top engine cover. I was a little forceful and wonder if I broke a wire or disconnected something. I don’t know where any of the components for the system are located in was looking for some help. The other forms I checked indicated possible battery problem but my battery is good.

This is a shot in the dark, but assuming it's something electrical, maybe that red power wire than runs across the intake manifold is loose in the left side where it connects. Again, I'm just guessing based on that being the only thing you'd move to take the cover off

I don't think your engine cover has anything to do with the dynamic braking control system on the car.
