LCI Xenon retrofit wiring

Hi guys I have a LCI E91 that had the halogen headlights as standard. The bi-xenon headlights were fitted, not by me. The xenon's work fine as I coded them in correctly and the highbeam works off the same bulb.

Unfortunately there is a short circuit on one of the angel eyes. Also the 3 amber LEDs haven't been wired also I understand that the inner bulb can also be wired up as the high beam.

Can anyone recommend anywhere to have this fixed or possibly someone could do it themselves. I will pay! Aha its a 5 minute job for someone that knows what they're doing as its just the wiring in the plugs that needs adjusting.

Many thanks.

Isn't your high beam worked off a shutter that opens and closes ? Therefor no inner bulb as you say

3 LEDs need a wire soldered to the angel eye rings

The high beam works off a shutter fine, but I have seen people add the inner cornering bulb to the high beam as well. I will try and see if there is an auto electrician willing to mess with the wiring for the LEDs. Cheers

Tried and tested. It's how mine are running

Not sure what you mean by inner cornering bulb?

Well expect three leds to blow soon.
Seen on two different cars with white leds. If you have nasty orange halo rings, then it should be fine.

i did this before on a 1 series. now i cant remember exactly but i do know 100% the angels switch to a different pin in the light module as soon as you change the coding from halogen to xenon.

when i change the vo and coded the car the xenons worked fine byt it appeared as if the angels were dead. what i did was removed the plugs from the two plugs in the lights module then tested for 12v with the lights in the off position as the car had day running lights witch used the angels.

but yh 100% you need to swap some pins around for the angels to work following coding from halogen to xenons. hopes this helps

Been running close to a year now and there's a few people on bimmerforums who's been running a lot longer, haven't heard of them failing yet, so fingers crossed
Why does the White LEDs make it different ?
